OIT Systems Status

Systems Maintenance Wed July 9th 10pm

On Wednesday July 9th at 10PM the Office of Information Technology will be applying the latest security updates and OS patches to a number of servers. As a result, the following services may experience brief interruptions  between 10PM and midnight:

The campus web server (www.montclair.edu) and most college web sites.
Campus email, Webmail. and mailing lists.
Web For Students (WESS) and Web for Employees/Faculty.
LDAP directory services.
The local blackboard.montclair.edu service.

OIT will make every effort to keep downtime for the individual services listed above as brief as possible and we  have scheduled this system maintenance for off-hours to minimize any impact on our user community.  If you have any questions or concerns please call the University Help Desk at x7971

Systems maintenance Thurs, June 26, 6-8PM

Information Technology will be performing systems maintenance tomorrow
evening, Thursday June 26 from 6-8PM. The following services may be
unavailable for up to 1 hour during the 6-8pm time frame:

Ezproxy  6-7PM
Moodle development server 6-7PM
Frontpage server 7-8PM
Mailman list services (@lists.montclair.edu) 7-8PM

Netdrive maintenance tonight 5-9pm, Galaxy Sat. May 31st Noon-8PM

This evening, Friday May 30th, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Information Technology will be performing maintenance on the Netdrive and iPrint services and moving them to a more stable disk storage system. We have scheduled this work after normal business hours to minimize any user impact.Tomorrow, Saturday May 31st the SIS, FRS, and HRS system (Galaxy) will be offline from Noon until approximately 8:00pm to perform a similar migration to a more stable disk storage system.If you have any questions or concerns about either maintenance window, please notify the University Help Desk at x7971.We thank you for your cooperation as we complete this necessary maintenance work.
