RAUL Around the World – Transforming International Scholarship of University Teaching and Learning

International scholars seeking to revolutionize their country’s university teaching and learning structures have increasingly sought out American institutional models. RAUL contributes significantly to this movement by both the work of Bain and his presentations world-wide, and by welcoming international visitors to MSU.

But what is it about RAUL that attracts so much international interest? Much of the initial fascination is with the ongoing study of “best teachers” and the original book that came out of the first fifteen years of that investigation. June Pym says that she found the book “grounded in solid educational principles with a very accessible [writing] style for translating this into the teaching and learning environment.”
